In this playshop we will connect with the energy of Samhain, the Celtic festival marking the end of harvest and entering the time of hibernation between death and rebirth. This time is celebrated throughout the world as All Souls Day (in the Christian Tradition), Halloween (in the pagan tradition), Día de Muertos (in Mexico) and others.
We will use the transformative wave of Shakti Dance to explore the liminal, connecting to our inner light in a time deepening external darkness in the approach of winter, as well as exploring the space between this world and other worlds, connecting with our ancestors.
Shakti Dance is a combination of flowing yoga stretches (asanas), energising dance steps, expressive free dance meditation, relaxation, mantra with movement, and silence; which puts us in touch with our true nature, pure consciousness, our shining light within.
