Spend the weekend with Raj Academy to experience the power and bliss of Kirtan in the Sikh tradition of Gurmat Sangeet. Highlights include an introduction to the history and purpose of Kirtan, insightful lectures unfolding the relationship between raag shabad (poetry sung in raags) and Sikh music, hands-on training with traditional instruments and supervised musical guidance throughout the camp. Everyone is welcome.
Camp Requirements:
Participants must be a minimum of 14 years old; children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a legal parent/guardian.
No previous musical experience or background is required.
The Camp fee is £40 for the whole weekend, including snacks and lunch.
Camp is not designed for a sleepover, but we can assist you in finding accommodation in a local hotel or gurdwara.
