Khöömii is an amazing style of overtone/harmonic singing where one person sings two or more distinct pitches at the same time.
It originates among the nomads of Central Asia, particularly the mountain regions of Mongolia and Tuva.
Listen to your own overtones as you discover the unknown depths and heights of your voice through these enchanting sounds
Michael Ormiston and Candida Valentino are multi-instrumentalist specializing in Mongolian khöömii (Overtone) singing
and have travelled to Mongolia many times. They have principally studied with Tserendaava, a master teacher from the Chandman' district,
Khovd Province , west Mongolia . Tserendaava & khöömiich Gereltsogt have blessed Michael and Candida to teach the basics of khöömii.
Beginners welcome.
