, MANTRA & MYSTICISM in BEAUTIFL BALI (February Retreat 2013), Muz MURRAY (Ramana Baba), 179 Montee du Levant, 30820 CAVEIRAC, France, 15 Feb 2013
Dear friends all,
I know this is a departure from our usual journeys in India, but an offer has suddenly cropped up as a one-off chance for an amazing two-week experience in the stunning and mystical land of Bali (Indonesia) this coming February!
[As I have mentioned before, ashrams and hotels in India are booked up a year ahead, so it is too late now to arrange a trip there for next winter. Luckily Bali is still available for the moment!]
Besides our usual Mantra sessions and Satsangs (and most likely yoga classes), we will also have meetings and healing sessions with some of the best traditional healers on Bali. Made (pronounced ‘Maa-dey’) Mangku is an extremely accomplished Balinese yogi, psychic and healer; chakra diagnostician and aura reader); we also take in a visit to a Naga Shakti Trance medium, plus experiencing ocean and flower purification ceremonies, free massages and private ceremonies in temples (some of which are not on the tourist maps). It will be an experience of Bali that few ever get to have.
And on this trip we will not have to contend with the usual Spartan ashram cells of India, but we will stay in four-star hotels and in beautiful private compounds owned by one of the Balinese Royal families, surrounded by the peace and serenity of rice fields and the tranquil ocean. There our every need will be served with the impeccability of Bali¬nese grace and a very personal honouring of our group.
Of course, you will also have the pleasure of shopping in the colourful markets, experience special performances of Balinese dance and music and have the chance to go snorkelling in some of the best coral reefs in the world.
Bali is called “The Island of God” or “The Morning of the World”, and is—like Arunachala— one of the major heart centres of our earth. Bali was from its very beginnings a spiritual destination and a final destination for high priests. It is a place of aesthetic and physical beauty, not only in the architecture and the land, but also reflected in the Balinese who live there, and in their art, music and culture which form an integral part of their lives.
Bali is like experiencing a perpetual state of ceremony. The softness and beauty and constant awareness of the Divine is like a mirror that reflects a tranquil contrast to the harsher reality of life in other parts of the world and in the way we live our own lives. Grace and devotion is the essence of Bali.
All over the island, every house has a temple where each and every day the people make offerings to honour the Divine, the Spirits, and the Deities that surround them and are an integrated part of their world and consciousness. Wherever one goes there are offerings – in front of temples, altars, houses, doors, stores, fields, gas stations, before every dance and music performance – everywhere one looks there is a reminder of the Divine and higher Consciousness. Thus the people are full of heart and devotion.
Come on an unforgettable journey with an open heart and mind and return home refreshed and changed for the better, knowing that there is another way to live.
If this unique opportunity excites you, then please confirm your interest right away. We have booked the hotel rooms already and they will hold them in reserve for us only for a short time. But they request booking fees up front in order for us to keep the reservations. So I am in need of a swift response before the end of April; otherwise it will be too late and they will let the accommodation to others.
I have 16 places available and it’s a matter of first come first served. Is it to be you?
Email me right away at: [email protected] for deposit details and the proposed itinerary.
Warmly yours,
Muz
Practicalities:
The Balinese tour dates are from 15th-28th February.
The cost (minus airfare) will be £1,550 which is excellent, considering the quality of the accommodations and everything that is on offer. Presently airfare by Malaysia Airlines is £825 from Heathrow. I know it’s a bit more expensive from what we are used to, but it’s a lot further and for what is on offer it seems to be well worth it.
[Our ease of introduction to the shamanic healers and royals will be facilitated by Jaya Bear (wife of the late Sun Bear, Chippewa medicine-man and my co-worker at Gandalf’s Garden during the Sixties)].
