If you've been thinking about learning to play the gong, this is your chance: join an online group training to kick-start your gong playing journey. Learn about the science & history of sound healing, playing techniques, guidance on selecting your first gong, and the art of hosting healing gong baths. No gong needed to get started!
The gong player and practitioner training we offer is divided into two parts, both of which include theory and practice:
Part 1: Learning to Play the Gong introduces you to the history, theory and science of gong meditation, and includes an overview of playing techniques as well as practice time with the gong
DATES: 5-6 March + 9 April
Part 2: Hosting a Gong Bath is designed for those who want to go further and learn to facilitate gong baths.
DATES: 23 + 30 April
Completing both Parts 1 & 2 in addition to a practical and written assignment will qualify you to receive a Certification accredited by the Complementary Medical Association.
This is a focused, practical, and interactive workshop that will be conducted online, except for the practicum (hosting your first gong bath) which you'll do in real life. You don't need a gong to get started. In the first session, we will cover all the different types of gongs and where to get them, and then there is a break in the programme to allow time for you to find one and have it arrive. The benefits of the online format are vast: you can learn and practice directly with your own gong at home, which will allow you to play around with and optimize your personal set up. It also opens up this training to people all around the world.
