An invitation to an embodied experience of connection and interconnection through chant and movement.

As we approach the height of summer, how can we live our fullness and respond in the best way possible to the individual and collective challenges we face?
Using ways to connecting that are available to us, here is an invitation to sink collectively deeper into ourselves together and to seek (and perhaps find) resources and answers to support ourselves, our communities and our world, through an online embodied chant session which will draw on ways in which different spiritual traditions offer us narratives and resources that may be potent and relevant for our present time.
How will this work online?
We will use audio/ video conferencing software that works on most computers, tablets and smartphones. There is the possibility to make an option to phone in using a landline phone or mobile for those who are not able to join a call from a computer - please make contact if you think this applies to you. You are welcome to join in whatever way is comfortable, whether just listening, chanting (others will not hear you), with your video on or off.
The invitation is to a live embodied experience of connection and interconnection.The technology that allows us to see and hear each other remotely is invited as a way to remember more tangibly a connection which is always there. The focus will be on the experience that each of us may have and to get most out of the session you will be invited to join in whatever way is comfortable, through breathing, chanting, moving, reflecting, journalling...I will be holding the journey live to facilitate connection as we join from different physical spaces
Technicalities
Many find that they can have a better experience by using headphones, ideally with a long enough cable so that you do not need to be glued to the screen (inexpensive extension cables are widely available online). I will do my best to maximise the sound quality at my end through using a hi-fi microphone and a fibre internet connection. (The quality of your internet connection and your headphones or speakers will affect the sound that you receive.)
The sound of my voice and the music I play (but NOT the voices of other attendees) will be recorded and will be sent to you as a high-quality audio link or file so that you can listen again.
Cost
A sliding scale is offered between £7 and £25 on a trust/ self-selection basis, OR if £7 is not affordable right now, please make contact before the day (email [email protected] or phone 0117 214 0418). By paying the highest rate you can afford you are supporting me to offer and to continue to offer this work.
