For the past three years we have celebrated both the Spring Equinox and the 8000 Sacred Drums Ceremony as a community of Reiki Drummers here in the UK.
For those who have joined us for the past few years, you will know what a wonderful day of drumming, networking and friendship these days have become. The price for this year's event is £16 for the day. We will have a shared lunch, so if you are planning on joining us, then please bring a vegetarian dish to share.
The event is open to all Reiki Drum Practitioners and Reiki attuned students who are interested in drumming. Please bring a drum with you. Last year the day was very well attended with people coming from all around the UK and Europe! I've already started to take bookings for this event, so if you are interested, please email [email protected] to register your interest.
A preliminary agenda is as follows: Welcome, Seven Directions Meditation, Reiju, Shared Reiki Drum Healing, Lunch, Reiki Drum Journey, Reiki Drum Distant Healing, Group Drumming, Closing Ceremony.
There will be some practitioners selling products during the day including crystals, sound healing items, jewellery, garden art, cds, aura photography.

The Otomi Toltec Elders and Wisdom Keepers have organized the Great Ceremony of 8000 Sacred Drums every year since 2003, with the participation of the Indigenous Peoples and Guardians of Peace and Mother Earth around the world. According to a Prophecy revealed at the Otomí Ceremonial Center by the Otomí Elder Sages to the Indigenous Peoples and all Humankind and a Vision of our Venerable Ancestors, the day when the Sounds of Eight Thousand Sacred Drums join together will be the beginning of a true Healing of Mother Earth, of All the Species and of the Human Family – It is time to unify ourselves and rediscover all the seeds of the sacred Directions in order to reactivate cosmic energy, heal historical wounds and heal Mother Earth by respecting life, liberty and the dignity of our Peoples. The first great ceremony was held March 21, 2004 in Temoaya, Mexico and there will be drum circles joined around the world on the Spring Equinox continuing every year until 2012.
