A song & meditation retreat aboard the graceful “Layla” (Karma Waters Canal Boat Hire & Retreats) whilst cruising along the Llangollen canal facilitated by Trixi Field and skippered by Bhanu, owner of "Layla" (Karma Waters) and a qualified sound-healing and Tama-do practitioner, and Integral Yogi in his own right.
The retreat will include simple stretching & breathwork, vocal development activities, toning, learning chants, rounds and songs to the gentle background music of the nature surrounding us. Also planned is a singing walk (depending on weather), and also a bit of a sing-song to acoustic instruments.
The retreat weekend will include a cruise from Whixall Marina, via Ellesmere and over the Chirk and Pontcysyllte Aqueducts (World Heritage sites) and return back to Whixall, a distance of 42 miles and negotiating 2 locks and liftbridges in each direction. You are welcome, depending on course tuition times, to help out with the boat handling and lock negotiation, or if you wish, to stroll alongside enjoying the country air and beautiful canal scenery.
This course counts as the additional module requirement for students on the College of Sound Healing Practitioner’s Course. Please let Trixi know, during the retreat, if you require certification upon completing the module.
Accommodation is based on two doubles, or one double and one twin arrangement – ideally couples or good friends. Nutritious food will be provided by your hosts, and we welcome any special dietary requirements.
Trixi is a singer, voice workshop facilitator, pianist, author & composer and regularly runs voice workshops in the UK and abroad. She is a member of the Natural Voice Practitioners’ Network and a tutor for the College of Sound Healing. Her voice workshops count as an additional module for the college courses. In addition, Trixi is a qualified Dru yoga teacher and teaches in Shropshire and abroad during International retreats.
