A workshop for vocal leaders and experienced singers
We will explore the connections between singing and mindfulness, using meditation, voice work and a range of material both composed and improvised, to revitalise our singing. We will concentrate on the details that we might miss when the emphasis is on learning material or working towards performance: slowing down and looking at breath, body and vocal sound, melody, harmony and rhythm. The weekend is primarily for experienced singers and vocal leaders, but do contact us if you would like to discuss eligibility.
Fully inclusive residential single room £280; shared £240 per person; Non-residential option £195 - includes suppers, lunches and all refreshments- Excludes B&B.
Natural Voice Practitioners Network Members: single £265; shared £225; non-res £185
Arrival and registration 4.00pm - 6.00pm. Course begins with supper on Friday at 6.30pm and ends with afternoon tea on Sunday at 4.00pm
Sian Croose is a gifted choir leader and a mindfulness teacher. Tuning In combines both practices. Sian is co-founder of The Voice Project and is a tutor at the University of East Anglia.
