Uplifting, harmonious, soul-stirring, challenging and fun all describe the power and appeal of the vocal sessions, led by Carol Pemberton and Celia Wickham-Anderson of Black Voices. The course will cover a range of black music traditions that have influenced and shaped various genres, with participants singing together in parts – SATB. The sessions culminate in an informal performance at the end of the course.
