Sacred Drumming Practitioner Course 2012
Enrolment is now open for the Second Sacred Drumming Practitioners Course starting in May 2012. The first practitioner’s course has been heralded as a great success by the participants who have bonded to form a cohesive, caring and warm drumming family.
The second course will build on the experiences of the first course with a very similar format. On the first weekend we will be making medicine drums and rattles in a ceremonial and getting to know each other setting. Working and helping each other to shift through the fears and limitations that come up with drum making, quickly we all become friends…more happens. By weekend 2 some drums have been painted and we awaken the drums together in the powers of the elements as we explore the knowledge and experience of the sacred directions of the Medicine Wheel. Weekend 3 is all about the healing drum, exploring sitting, lying down, absent healing and earth healing. Very clear protocols using the drum and rattle are described and demonstrated…then you do it! On weekend 4 we explore the processes of journeying into the lower, middle and higher spirit realms, reclaiming parts of our soul that have been lost on route; contacting the devas, plant and animal spirits and collecting spirit guides, ancestors and ascended beings that are available to us as helpers. This is such an exciting weekend! You will be so empowered by the end. Then we come to the last module which is weekend 5 you celebrate the gaining of your certificate as a drum practitioner and we enter a Stone People lodge or Inipi to seek our natural and authentic name, in the earth womb of the mother you and your drum become one.
This course is a life changing experience in the most amazing setting on the edge of the South Downs National Park, with a stone circle, Vesica Pisces and Labyrinth; rooks and buzzards wing through the vast Sussex sky over the residential manor house, Jacobs sheep “baaaaa” in nearby fields and the herb gardens fill with insects and butterflies, add to this setting the sound of beautiful hoop drums in unison beating time with the rhythm of the Earth Mother and you are on the second Sacred Drumming Practitioners Course!
