UK, Sounding out the Temple – a programme of sound events, Chris Sangster, White Eagle Lodge, Brewells Lane, Liss, Hampshire, GU33 7HY, UK, 02 Nov 2019
You are very welcome to come to our one day event, for the whole day or selecting the events you fancy. We start at 10.00am with an Introduction and Meet the Instruments session, where the musicians will talk briefly about their featured instrument. At 11.30am, we are thrilled to be welcoming Frank Perry for a Singing Bowls Sound Meditation, featuring in the region of 200 bowls. Lunch break at 12.30am
Please bring your own vegetarian food, hot drinks available during break times.
The afternoon sessions start at 2.00pm with Anikira Solstice, with her fascinating blend of voice and flute, uniting over self created backing tracks. This is followed at 3.30pm by the unique singing voice of Russell Stone, who presents a programme of participative chanting, accompanied by shrutti box.
There will be a (limited) pot luck vegetarian meal offered at 5.00pm, free but donations welcomed, or bring your own vegetarian food if you prefer. The evening session starts at 6.30pm with a full meditation given by Jenny Dent, our Lodge Mother. After a comfort break, the final session, a multi instrumental Sound Bath, will commence at 7.30pm, presented by Sounds Inspirational, from Liss. This will last around 50 minutes, bring blankets, pillows etc if you wish to lie on the floor, and will end with us all joining for a final ohm chant to really Sound out the Temple. If joining specific events, please come in good time as late entry is disruptive to the atmosphere and will be discouraged. We look forward to welcoming you! See our website for further details.
