Join Bea, David and Wendy and Donna for a heart-centred sound celebration of Winter Solstice with delicious festive food.
The ceremonialist Glennie Kindred writes: the Winter Solstice falls in the heart of the winter on the shortest day and the longest night of the year. This special festival is an opportunity in our busy lives to put aside some time to pause, to appreciate the stillness and rest that is the gift of midwinter, to reflect on the old year that is finishing and to look forward with hope for the new year about to begin. It is a time of coming together, of sharing, and appreciation of all we have. It is also a celebration of our connectedness - to our family and friends, and to the Earth and her cycles.
The afternoon will begin will begin with a drum circle facilitated by Wendy Ruddick. The drum is all about the heart beat, and we are starting with the drums to connect with our hearts, the heart of Mother Earth and the hearts of each other.
Next we eat food made from the heart to nourish our hearts. Donna Wood of Blissed Healing will provide nourishing, scrumptious home-made vegan and vegetarian savouries.
Then you enjoy a sound journey co-created by Bea, David and Wendy to further connect with your heart. We will bathe you in heavenly harmonies with gongs, singing bowls, chimes and other sound treasures to calm your mind, soothe your emotions, nurture your body and uplift your spirit.
We end with Donna's delicious home made cakes, chai and teas. Vegan, gluten free and sugar free options will be available.
Bring whatever you need to be comfortable - something to sit or lie on, a pillow if desired and a snuggly blanket - plus some drinking water. If you struggle to lie on the floor, we may be able to reserve a reclining chair for you. If so, please get in touch.
