Sound is everywhere – in the gentle breeze of the wind, in the waves crashing on the shore, in the movement of oceans and rivers and even in the stillness of the night – everything around us is sound. Through toning and singing we connect to the endless stream of energy that fills the universe and breathes life into us. Sound is like a magical key that opens the heart and ignites the fire of love in our cells.
When we sing, chant and tone we invite healing and restore balance and harmony to mind and body. Our Throat Chakra expands, and we naturally begin to breathe more deeply, allowing a wave of healing energy - prana - to fill our body and our soul.
This day offers an opportunity for chanting, singing, toning and drumming with likeminded people, allowing yourself to let go into the easy rhythms and gentle melodies of the chants. Being uplifted by the music and words, being carried on the breath, you are invited to let go and accept yourself and your voice just as you are without judgement. There is no right or wrong way to sing and chant; just an immersion into the easy flow of the music, the palpable relaxation response of your body and the experience of being carried by sacred sound.
