This course gives you the skills to run a diverse and exciting portfolio of groups, workshops and sessions in all areas of the community. From general vocal development to deeply transformative therapeutic work, all will be covered during four or five dynamic and highly experiential weekend modules facilitated by Lyz Cooper. Modules will be chosen to suit your needs.
Key concepts underpinning therapeutic soundwork will be delivered supported by research and development
Soundbaths, gongbaths and relaxation sessions
The psychology of sound - musical intervals and how different sonic signatures of different instruments can be used for therapeutic effect
Himalayan and crystal singing bowls, gongs, drum, therapeutic percussion will all be explored
Soundscapes, sonic art and performance - The use of sound as a source of art and expression, communication and team building
Rhythm group facilitation - Drum circles, rhythm for symptomatic states and how to work with the nature of transformational rhythm
Narrative soundscapes - a powerful module which questions the fundamental nature of belief and how it can hold us back in life.
