Dear Friends, welcome to the annual 10-day International Gong Master Training at Gaunts House in a beautiful Dorset countryside. The theme for this year’s training is ‘Becoming the complete Gong Player’. This year’s training will be led by Don Conreaux and Aidan McIntyre with a help of guest teachers; and it will be the road to mastery in the use of sacred sound as a transformational tool and the service to humanity. Each day we will be working with different sacred instruments, such as the Gong, Himalayan singing bowls, drum, voice and Shruti Box, to learn how to use them in performance and healing. This year we will emphasize all 18 areas of Gong Mastership, some of them are: playing the Gong alone, for each other and giving the Gong Bath, finding your true voice, playing Singing Bowl, in depth percussions techniques from around the world, the Shruti Box, Gong Yoga exercises… Exchange for 10 days (17th to 27th June 2013) training is £975 per person (shared room) and this includes 3 meals per day, training, use of all the instruments (you will be able to play one of the largest collection of gongs in UK!), tea / coffee / biscuits available 24/7. Sections emphasized in this retreat are: 1.Gong Therapy Practise and Meditation (17th to 20th June): Areas covered in this training are: playing techniques and improvising with the Gong, Singing Bowls, Conch Shell and many other ancient instruments. Exchange for this 4 days training is £430 per person (shared room). 2.Shruti, Voice, Percussions and Performance Art (20th to 23rd June): Areas covered in this 4-day training are: Gong Ceremonial Performance, Drum workshop, working with your voice, rhythm and improvisation. 2-day Frame Drum workshop with Asuman Biswas, which will cover different frame drum techniques, rhythms, body percussion, mantra, group improvisation, just to mention a few. For more details about Asuman Biswas, please look at his website: http://www.ansuman.com/home.html Livia Barbosa, a Singer, Speech and Voice therapist dedicated to the singing and talking voice therapy, will introduce us to ‘The Singing Body’ accessing our true voice. During the last two years as well as pursuing her professional singing career as a Jazz singer, Livia has been working with sound in a much wider spectrum. Using Gongs, Bowls and Voice in teaching and harmonisations and harnessing the vibration of the Gong to awaken proprioception (body/posture awareness) within people with voice problems, and those that would like a deeper connection with the sounds they produce both singly and in groups. Exchange for this 4 day training is £430 per person (shared room). 3.Yoga of Holistic Resonance (24th to 27th June): Area covered in this section of training: the 39 exercises of gong yoga. This will give you Level 1 Certificate of attendance to MEM Gong Yoga. Gong Yoga will teach you how to select the yoga exercise, the pranayama and the meditation before conducting the Gong Bath. Exchange for this 4 day training is £430 per person (shared room). There will also be 6 evening gong baths on 18th, 19th, 21st, 22nd, 25th and 26th June. And all night Healing Gong Puja on the 23rd June, which will begin with Elektronika Trance Dance.
